Brief:
While working part-time (30h/w) at Arts University Bournemouth Students' Union as the Marketing and Social Media Lead I was tasked with the rebrand of the company. It was a very challenging project as I had to balance working on the rebrand with my usual day to day tasks - creating posters, banners and other promotional materials, updating the company's website, managing the social media accounts and helping out during events.

Old Branding

What they were looking for:
bold, modern, artistic, cool, relatable to students, independent from the university, makes an impact and drives engagement
How my client felt about the old branding:
corporate, outdated, irrelevant to their audience, boring
Logo Ideas

At first I was trying to update the old logo, give it a bit more artistic look, refresh it a bit. Bournemouth being a seaside town, I tried incorporating elements of that - the seagull silhouette and foot, sun rays.
