Brief:

Create an illustrated cover for the Bournemouth local publication Pier Journal's summer issue.

 

I approached this brief from Bournemouth's overlooked surfing community side. Summer being the season of no waves, I illustrated a girl looking for them, carrying her surfboard. For the illustration I used bold colours and a risograph printing effect.
